This week The Open heads to one of the world's oldest golf clubs, dating back to 1744. Muirfield was also the source of one of the earliest written set of golf rules, making it a very historical place as far as the sport is concerned. The current course was only opened in 1891, moving from neighbouring Musselburgh and has seen many of a spectacular championship over the years from the very first in 1982 won Harold Hilton.
