Many people all over the world are enjoying this Italian food and such, there are efforts being placed in attaining the status of Protected Designation of Origin as well as the label of "Denominazione di origine controllata". The Italian government is searching for the means to give protection for the authentic cakes as more and more companies in Latin America countries are creating their own version and spreading in all over the world.
