Since so many of the web sites that have stolen intellectual property, such as television shows and movies, are located outside the United States, there have been several legislative actions and trade agreements that are working to prevent these actions of piracy. Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement or ACTA works in conjunctions with numerous countries and organizations around the world to identify the standards of "intellectual property" and create standards of enforcement for prosecution.
