Even though gripes and complaints have been more closely associated to the implementation of ICD-10 diagnosis and procedure codes, a large part of the healthcare community has been quietly waiting for the United States government and the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics to make the process regulatory by announcing a permanent adoption date with no chance of setting it back. It has already been pushed back indefinitely a few times, and now the permanent date set for October of 20
