One of the biggest problems with having paper on your desk is the lack of searchable content. Can you really find what you are looking for in a stack of paper? If you have a good filing system you can, but the time it will take you is a drain on company resources. You can be rest assured that your competition is currently switching over to a paperless system, and they will be able to work much faster than you.
