Geometric ratio is the ratio of successive terms in a sequence. For example, we have a sequence: 12, 36..... Here, first term t1= 12 and successive term is second terms t2 = 36. Ratio of t2/t1 = 36/12 = 3 is the geometric ratio. So, to solve geometric ratio of t1 and t2, we use formula geometric ratio r =t2/t1. This term geometric ratio has importance when the sequence is geometric sequence.
